Somewhere in Time, Unlimited
Presents:
"An Evening
With
Valentino"

February 18, 2012

(The historical costuming group
 Somewhere in Time, Unlimited
held a 1920's themed,
costumed Winter Event.)

A movie director had invited his closest friends and Hollywood elite to
come to his residence to preview Rudolph Valentino's
most recent film, "The Son of The Sheik."

This photo reflects the space that was used for this gathering.

Guests began to enter the room by stepping thru the fabric swathed doorway.
The room had been decorated in a tent theme with exotic, 1920's accents,
such as peacock feathers.

The colors in the rooms were
dark blue, peacock blue, rich purple,
gold, white and pearl.

Here, we have three lovely ladies
chatting before the delicious
main course would be served.

(L-R: Starlette Miss Kimberly,
Costume Designer Miss Susan,
and Chanteuse Miss Agnes.)

The Platinum Blonds, Miss Marion and Miss Shirley, smile for our paparazzi. Miss Julie & The Countess Cassimira
flirt wantonly with the paparazzi.
Miss Sharon wears an array of peacock feathers and an ermine coat. Beautiful. Mr. Rob, a close friend of the director,
looks dashing in white dinner jacket.
Hollywood gossip columnist, Queen Julia, paused long enough for a photo. Who's this elegant pair we have here?
It's Sir Harry of Essex and Miss Loveday!
Miss Kathy (of Realm of Regalia fame)
is spotted among the guests looking stylish!
Ah, the director (in fez) chats it up with the darling Miss Aloise.  There's bound to be rumours by tomorrow!
Miss Beverly & Maestro Phillip Wilkinson
were also spotted looking snappy!
The ladies appear to be in deep discussion about the heat-throb, Valentino!

British film star, Lord Cheetham, speaks to the lovely Miss Shirley and Mr. Jimmy.

Miss Beverly sings along to a tune
Maestro Phill plays at the piano.
Peacock feathers and pearl strands,
were complimented by a small peacock perched on the vase.
Two beautiful young women from
Holy Names Academy  (HNA in Seattle),
were the servers for the party.
Their uniform included cut-work aprons.
The head server looked perfect in
dark uniform and white apron.
She did an amazing job overseeing the
young women and kitchen duties.
Sir Harry & Lady Victoria of Essex
are kicking it up!
The glamorous Hollywood starlette,
Miss Joan, strikes a pose!

The ladies are sharing a private joke.

We were then called to dinner.
Just look at the wonderful selection of offerings!

Miss Beverly raises a toast to the
success of Valentino's new film.
Miss Mary (wardrobe designer to the stars) pours some much needed refreshment.

Producer, Mr. Karl and his gal-pal Miss Mary,
stop for a quick photo.

Silent film star, Miss Candice, paused for a photo with
handsome lead Mr. Marty and
ingénue, Miss Bobbie.

During the private screening, the audience participated avidly
by "boo-ing" , "hssss-ing" and volunteering comments
regarding the conditions they were being shown
on the screen, such as when the villain was seen.

After the screening of the film, it was time to leave.
Friends, old and new, made promises to
"do lunch" in the near future.

Yes, it was decided that handsome Mr. Valentino had another hit film "in the can".
Women were sure to swoon and the men wanted to dress like the actor.
The director was going to make a LOT of money...
