What:

 Greet the Argosy Christmas Cruise Ship leading the parade of boats into Lake Washington.
Where: West Montlake
When: Saturday, November 30th
Time: 5:30pm   Antique Shopping
7:15pm   Leave to find parking at park
8:00pm   Greet the ships!
8:30pm   "Dutch Treat" snacks, dessert
and adult beverages at the Montlake
Ale House.
(Dutch Treat=You pay your own order.)
Flexibility: You can drop in and out of this gathering
The timing is entirely up to you.  Just fair
warning - There is precious little parking
at the park, so arriving early is always,
a "good thing."
Attire: 1.  Furs or other heavy outer clothing to shield you from the cold, wind and rain.

2.  Do NOT wear feathers! T hey will never be the same if they get wet.  Wear a comfy hat or what you deem is historical to you.

3.  If you are going to wear black, and you wish to be seen, they we suggest you wear a brightly coloured shawl or scarf over the top.

4.  Gentlemen - Wear a bright muffler in red, white, green, whatever.

5.  GLOVES!  It can get quite chilly at the water's edge.  We suggest you find those little inexpensive gloves available at JoAnn Fabric that come in red, white, green, pale blue, and so forth.
Bring: A folding chair if you need one.
Camera.
Flashlight, to guide you over the lawn.
 
Cost: Free, except what you spend on any antiques or for snacks afterwards.

Driving Directions: They will be mailed to you soon after the receipt of your RSVP.  Please indicate the part of town you are coming from so the instructions can be tailored to you.
Photos: The images below, are of the park and of an Argosy vessel which happened by the day Lady Victoria was taking photos!  "Evening of" vessels should be clustering in front of the park before going into the Montlake Cut.

It is normally quite festive and the crowds quite large.
Again, parking will be an issue, as will heavy traffic
on the Thanksgiving weekend.  Prepare to leave home early!
