| Alex Lewington is a freelance theatrical costume designer specializing in period costumes. She has designed virtually every period, from Roman/Greek, to the mid-1950's (Agatha Christie "The Mousetrap"), although her favorite eras are Edwardian and 1930's. Alex loves to use "old stuff" to add authenticity and visual interest to just-made items. In addition to costume clothing, she also makes stage jewelry and enjoys millinery. Born and bred in
Liverpool, England, Alex lived in Italy, New Zealand, and Australia
before managing to get to the United States, which is where she
REALLY wanted to live! She has designed for the Tacoma Little
Theatre, Centerstage, Tacoma Actors Guild, Lakewood Playhouse,
Tacoma Opera, and the Job Carr Cabin Museum. |
