"Over the hills and thru the snow...." It's time to cross the Cascades and visit the small Bavarian town of Leavenworth, WA for their annual Christmas Lighting Festival!  Lots of music and entertainment, chestnuts on open fire pits, cookies, shopping - this is a MUST see if you've never been before.

Options include travelling with Alki Tours Snow Train or Snow Bus, or driving over on your own. 
Lady Victoria plans to hang out near the band stand in town, so look for her and say "Hey!"

"We Saw 3 Ships Come Sailing In!"  Join Lady Victoria and Sir Harry as they greet the parade of Christmas ships in the Montlake Cut between Lake Union and Lake Washington.

TinnFelen Hardanger Fiddle Ensemble -
This talented ensemble performs traditional Scandinavian tunes featuring the traditional fold fiddle of Norway.  Nordic costumes or motifs are appropriate.  This is a non-SITU gathering which will be held at JuleFest, Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle.  For info, visit the website or email: Phil "at" SITUSeattle.com

Vintage Band Concert - The Vintage Band of 1900 performs the annual Veterans' Day Concert to include The Water Music by Handel, baroque dancing under the direction of Jamia Hansen-Murray, music by Gustav Holst, patriotic selections, etc.  18th Century dress, Victorian dress, or any military period attire of our veterans is appreciated.  For more info:

Croquet In The Park - Do you enjoy dressing up and spending time in a beautiful park under Summer skies?  Here's your chance!

Together with Denise & Holly Hendrick, Lady V has gained approval from Tacoma Parks Dept to set up a croquet space at historic Wright Park.

We'll be west of the conservatory.  Pull out your favorite "park inspired" costume, regardless of the era, and come play with us!  Bring along your usual chair, picnic goodies and something to share.

SITU SUMMER Event, “A Diplomatic Reception at The White House” We have booked this date at a private residence (in Port Orchard) with spectacular gardens to enjoy.

Meeker Mansion "July 4th Family Concert"
The Puyallup valley Band will be providing the free park concert again on the grounds of the mansion.  Rob & Barb Gregg attend every year.  They bring along their chairs and parasol (if it's hot) and come wearing 1900's attire.   Interested in going?  Email Lady Victoria.  Her carpool is full, but you can follow her down if you want to caravan.

SITU has been invited to attend this beautiful display by fellow member, Margaret Nelson.  SHE will be in attendance from noon to 2pm, although the event runs 'till 4pm.

You can come dress in any era you'd like.  Be prepared for warm temperatures in the greenhouse.
