    Everett Yacht Club's 100th Anniversary - Serving free pancake breakfast .  Contact person - Joan .
  • Saturday Sept 9, 2007 AG Dunn Guild of the Maryhill Museum of Art is holding an Old Fashioned Garden Party and Ice Cream Social 2-5pm at a private residence.  BBQ, strolling jazz musicians, bocce ball, croquet, art on exhibit, wine, soft drinks, etc.  Bring your money or checkbook.  Event is $20 per person or $36 per couple.  Come dressed in "garden party attire".   Contact person to RSVP - Cathy.  Please mention Loveday when you make your reservation BY SEPT 5th.

    Costume Ball & Fundraiser put on by Seattle Early Dance.  Held at Creative Dance Center,
    12577 Densmore Ave N, Seattle.  Adults: $30, Youths age 13-20: $12, Children 6-12: $5, children under 5 are free.
    Features: Live music (two bands: Renaissance & Baroque) Singers of Early Music, Performances, Vienesse Ball-room Dances from 1870, Social Dances from 16-18 centuries, Buffet-style dinner/refreshments, etc.  Choose your favorite costume & come ready to dance!  Contact person: Anna  or via email.
  • Saturday, Dec 1, 2007, "Christmas Brigade Ball" put on by the Civil War Re-enactors.  The Ball will be held at the Majestic Ballroom in Bellingham, 1027 N. Forest Street.  Folks are welcome to come as guests, but reservations must be made in advance.  Price to be approx. $15 tho that has not been officially set as yet.  There will be a potluck dessert buffet and beverages.  Expected turn-out is around 100 and the hall only holds 125!  Reservations always "heat up" around Oct 1st, so hurry up!  Contact person:  David I, or via email.

    "Miracle on 34th Street" at the
    Theatre at Meydenbauer, 7pm. $10 per RESERVED SEAT.
    Holiday magic for the whole family onstage.  Play features great 1940's music and costumes, Santa, Evles and a courtroom of colorful characters.     Grand Opening of the "Main Street" display 10a-3p.  Organizers are closing off the street, having street vendors with food, entertainment, etc.  SITU members and friends are encouraged to dress in 1908 attire in celebration of the look back in time which the museum is recreating.  To carpool or for further questions, Contact:

    "Tall Ships" in Tacoma's harbor.
    The ships will arrive from Victoria into Quarter Master Harbor on Vashon Island on July 2nd.  Early on the morning of July 3rd, they set sail and arrive in Tacoma.  For those interested in buying tickets in advance from the Tall Ship Society (online), you can reserve which ship/s you wish to tour or sail upon.  If you want to come in historic costume, feel free!  You might see a lovely lady or even a Pirate or two!  Aaaaaargh!!!

    Parade at Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival.  Parade starts at 11a with the line-up of the participants at 9 am.  The parade organizer would like SITU Members and Friends to participate by dressing in costume and walk in the parade.  Contact person - Joan

    Organizers anticipate to be a quick sell-out.

    A FREE ride would be provided to SITU Members who are dressed in Victorian 1890's-Edwardian attire, willing to "work the line" (greeting passengers waiting to board the train) and share SITU knowledge & information about historical attire with the children and families also riding the train.  Unfortunately, to take advantage of the free ride, there will be no reserved seating.  It would be a walk-the-aisles to "meet & greet".  If you want to to be comfortably seated round trip, you will need to purchase a ticket in advance on Sept 15.

    If you are unable to ride that Saturday, there is a opportunity of another train or two on Sunday, tho there may be fewer SITU members interested in Sunday...

    If you'd like to participate in this FUN Dress-up Opportunity, please be sure to register your interest with Lady Victoria (so she knows how many will be coming) and then purchase your ticket on September 15th!

    the depot.  There will be re-enactments, demonstrations, people in vintage attire.

    "Model T's Arrive" from NYC.  Authentic, vintage Model T's are being driven to Seattle from New York in celebration of the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition Centennial (AYPE)
    Estimated time of arrival to the UW campus (Drumheller Fountain) is between 10a and high noon.  There will be many people in 1909 costume and a band will be playing music.  Arrive EARLY!

    Vintage Fashion Show, 2p at The Neely Mansion, Auburn.  "Clothing from the Victorian era thru the 1950's."

    "Come celebrate summer at this fundraiser for the historic 1894 Victorian Classic Revival farmhouse built by a child-pioneer from Tennessee who crossed the Oregon Trail as a 7-yr old in 1853."

    The fashion show will end with light refreshment of cookies and lemonade.  Cost: $10 per person, advance reservations required beginning June 15th.  Call Miss Pat (253.833.2116) by July 12th.  Not necessary to dress in period attire to participate in the audience.

    This display of fine vintage vehicles rivals the status and elegance of Pebble Beach fame.

    Members and friend of SITU have been invited to come in costume to this most prestigious event. (1900-1913.)  We are limited in the number of people allowed to participate, so if you have interest,  please be sure to email Lady Victoria immediately!

    SITU is headed over the mountains to the small Bavarian town for their festival.  We will be wearing a wide variety of historical clothing and have lined up a truck for transporting some folks on the back.  Are you interested in walking a very short route with us?  Grab your fancy hat, cane or parasol and join us in a day of fun!  Contact:

    Tea and/or lunch at the historic Sorrento Hotel.  The Sorrento is celebrating its centennial as well this year.  SITU intends to gather in the rotunda at the fireplace for a late autumn lunch or tea.  It should be very cozy and romantic. Attire: 1909.

    Depending on response, SITU would like to put together a day-trip to the city of Leavenworth, WA for their Christmas Lighting.  Tickets may sell out in advance.  We anticipate them to cost between $30 and $120, depending if we can go with Amtrak or by private agency.
