SITU University Presents:

"Get Fitted To Sew A Walking Skirt"
with SITU's own Miss Bobbie

Sat, Apr 16, 1:00 - 6:00pm

Always wanted to get a custom fitting?  Need a little help measuring yourself? Not sure of your measurement taken by your husband or friend?

Its time to meet with Miss Bobbie and get it done accurately!  She will be taking appointments to meet with people on April 16th.  If there's enough time, you might be able to layout your pattern in advance of the class in May.  Otherwise, with measurements and pattern in hand, you'd be off and running on your own.

Set your appointment today!  MissBobbie "at"

{This is NOT Vannetta Cash, but rather a Snohomish resident who created this festive "bonnet" for last year's parade...}

SITU-University Presents:

"Create An Easter Bonnet" with
SITU's own Vannetta Cash

Sat , April 16, 2011

Exact date and time is still being negotiated, but plan for a Sat/Sun of April 16th or 17th to put together a create Easter Bonnet with lots of silk flowers, lace, butterflies or maybe small stuffed animals upon it.

We are meeting at the Bellevue Library in Downtown Bellevue (assuming we get the space), so bring your supply goodies, needle/thread and glue gun.  We have some creative hats to produce!

Miss Vannetta has graciously stepped forward to help guide this Workshop so that you'll have a hat to wear for the Easter Parade in Snohomish the following weekend.

If you haven't met this delightful lady, you're in for a nice surprise...

SITU-University Presents:

"How to Make a Walking Skirt" with
SITU's own Lady Paisley

May 21, 2011
Seattle Library in Seattle

A Walking Skirt is a basic staple in a historical costumer's closet!  This very transitional skirt will carry you between the 1890's and the Edwardian era.

Lady Paisley is going to show us how to put together this simple skirt in time for you to use this garment for the various Dress-up Opportunities in 2011.

There is no charge for the Workshop, except for the fabric and pattern which you will purchase in advance of the class.  You will bring your own sewing machine and accessories.  This is NOT a class for very beginner sewers as there will not be enough one-on-one time with each person.  If you need that kind of help, register for the Workshop below.  Lady Victoria uses a mini Walking Skirt pattern to learn how to sew.

SITU-University Presents:

"Beginning Sewing" with
SITU's own Lady Victoria & Lady Paisley

May, 2011

You've taken Home Ec before, or, you never learned to sew.  Either way, our instructors are going to teach you some basics to sewing and magically, your fears will fall away!

At the end of the class, you will have learned how to lay out the Walking Skirt pattern by Folkwear, learned how to use your sewing machine, and are well on the way to producing a full size walking skirt on your own in time to participate in SITU functions.

Time and date hasn't been set, but it will probably be May.

Interested?  Email LadyVictoria "at" with questions or to pre-register.
